“A list can be a lifesaver.”
Feeling overloaded by work and responsibilities? Confused by all the tasks that keep going round and round in your head? Do you find it impossible to effectively use the time you have available now?
The solution? Make a list of everything you need to do in the next 24 hours. Make sure you divide your list into what has to be done and what could be done, if time permits.
Many people underestimate the value of lists. Sure, the act of writing a list of chores doesn’t get them done. But, it does get them down on paper and out of that merry-go-round operating in your mind.
Seeing your tasks as words on a page allows you to take control of your thinking – to plan, to undertake, and, most importantly, to cross them off in triumph as they are achieved.
The locus of control is back in your hands. You become calmer and able to work more efficiently. You learn not to fear times of overload.
Start practicing your list-making, today.
