This morning Kenny drive us for breakfast at Kedai Kopi Melanian3. We had Jumbo Meatball and Mix meat noodles…one bowl of noodle cost Rm7.50…quite expensive, lol
Actually we wanted to go Signal Hills but according to Kenny, up the hill you only can see the whole of Kota Kinabalu. Nothing much to sight seeing in town, but we do pass by Atkinson Clock Tower. He drop us a Filipino Market where we get some dry food, souvenir and other stuff.. mostly batik. The weather was very hot. We going to Suria Sabah- is a shopping mall and is quite big..just like Midvalley but no as huge as Midvalley.
We leave the mall at 12pm, ask Kenny to bring us for lunch at Fatt Kee Seafood Restaurant. Mostly the place selling Fresh Fish Slice Soup Noodles (Fries) cost RM12.80 and Steam Fish Slice Soup Noodles cost RM13.80.
After lunch, we don’t know where to go but Kenny suggest us to go Lok Kawi Wildlife Park. We there for 1 and ½ hrs.. Nothing much in that place, since mum couldn’t walk that far, I decided to company her to wait for the other in the entrance. About the park is run by Sabah wildlife department under the Ministy of Tourism, Culture and Enviroment. The park covers about 280 acres of land including the Botanical Garden managed by the Sabah Forestry Department.
At the moment, the park has more than 100 species of animals which include mammals, reptiles and birds. One the Botanical side, there is a trail which leads to the Herbal and Ginger Garden. You may even catch a glimpse of the ever famous Pitcher paint. Some introduced dipterocarp trees can also be found in this area.
Coming attraction are (now in progress) the 1.4km forest walk, rafflesia garden and orchid garden. The entry fees for visitor 18 yrs and above RM10 and non Malaysian citizen RM20 and for visitor 3 until 17 yrs old is RM5.00 for Malaysian Citizen while the non Malaysian citizen RM10. Free entrance fees for senior citizen and handicapped.
We going off from there about 3pm and reach back to our place almost 4pm, and the weather is very hot. We rest for a little while then we going to KK waterfront, we actually walk back to the Filipino market but this time you can see lot of vegetable sellers and Bazaar Ramadan. We did get some food from there. Most the sell the same food, nothing special but of course you can see a lot of lobster, prawn and other seafood. We feel tired we drop by a café for a drink while waiting for take away from Lobster King Restaurant. Since my mum and nephew didn’t go out, we brought the food for dinner. We stay up to watch TV while I’m reading my book. My other sister and bro-in-law out again to look for food.
