Where Happiness REALLY Comes From

“Happiness is abundant in the joy of achievement.”

Happiness doesn’t come from successfully completing simple or mundane tasks, it comes from completing a task that demands your best efforts.

When you pour your heart and soul into something and you accomplish that something, the afterglow of satisfaction you feel is happiness. It is the thrill of all your efforts and hard work.

Each and every one of us needs to accomplish, achieve and triumph to be happy. Our human spirit requires it. Remember that happiness thrives in activity and accomplishment.

Go for it!

Breeding Ground for Your Attitude

“Every woman sees the world in a different way.”

Every woman sees her world with a different vision. In other words, someone else may assign a completely different meaning than you to the same thing. This is a blessing! Why? Because it means you have the ability to create whatever kind of world you want, just by assigning meaning to things in your life in whatever way you choose.

What do you see in this picture? An old barn falling apart that should be torn down, or a beautiful golden, green sweeping meadow in the background?

You assign meanings to all the people and things in your life. Ultimately, this is the breeding ground for your attitude. If you don’t like what you see, change your vision.  It’s easy when you think and choose. Try it!

Where Fun is Most Abundant

“Enthusiasm is where the fun is.”

When enthusiasm strikes, you know because you want to jump up and down and scream with happiness. It’s a moment where your heart soars because you have just felt or done something that inspires you deep within.

Enthusiasm is where your body screams with excitement and you hear that “Yes!!!” from deep inside. It’s one of the best feelings in the world.

Today, no matter what your rational mind says look and listen for the places, events, ideas, people and activities that make your heart shout a loud “Yes!!!”  Next,  spend some time deciding how to bring more of those things into your life.

Make a commitment to yourself to do the things you need to do to live a more enthusiastic life. When you’re enthusiastic you look forward to each and every day. And, that’s what makes life so fun!

Having a bad day?

“It’s just one of those days.”

There will be days when you’ll end up having a melt down, freaking out, and going into an emotional tailspin. It’s completely normal. The key is to let it happen.

What’s important is, once it’s over, you need to pick up the pieces and regain your composure. This is your responsibility. It’s crucial not to beat yourself up because you lost control. Remember a fall out doesn’t mean failure.

Expect bad days every once in a while. These days may scare and upset you, but realize they are all part of life.

Increase Your Wealth

“Attract prosperity.”

They say money attracts more money. Wouldn’t it be nice to find out? But in truth, prosperity isn’t about money anyway. It’s about feeling rich in happiness, love and positive experiences.

This is something you not only can have, you can multiply with the right approach.

Appreciate your friends, and new friends will arrive. Look for joy each day, and you’ll find more. Feel happy about all you have in life, and you’ll find your happiness grows.

Live this way and you’ll end up with a wealth of prosperity that all the money in the world can’t buy!

Beware of this Relationship Killer

“Don’t expect your partner to fulfill all your needs.”

<>It’s unfair to expect your partner to be able and willing to render all your needs, no one person can do that. Though it may feel easy and less risky, it’s unfair.

Reach out in earnest to others in your life for fulfillment. You’ll probably find that different friends and family members are more than willing to share their expertise.

One may have a great sense of humor, another a great listener and another a financial whiz. When you have many friends and relatives in your network you take the pressure off your partner and ultimately you both are happier.

Bounce Back from Tough Times

“A lesson from the lawn.”

Imagine if a blade of grass decided it had had enough. It was done with having its head snipped off every weekend and its seeds – its future – cut off in their prime. Who could blame it?

Yet, what does that ol’ blade of grass do? It doesn’t say:  “I give up! I’m getting nowhere!” It just keeps on growing. It continually takes in the energy from the sunlight and magically converts carbon dioxide from the air into food to make more leaves and more seeds.

A blade of grass is resilient.

You too, can learn to be as resilient as the grass. You may be cut down on a regular basis, yet your strength is in standing up, dusting yourself off, and starting all over again. Even when grass is covered in concrete, it finds a way to grow up through the cracks.

And, so must you.Take a “leaf” out of the grass’ book. Connect with your own resilience and keep on growing.
