Are You Truly Beautiful?

“What is true beauty?”

The true beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure she has or the way she styles her hair. It is in the way she sees herself.

Was Mona Lisa really a beautiful woman? Did it matter? She clearly saw the beauty in herself and Leonardo da Vinci captured the smile that said it – and that made her beautiful to all.

All women have this capacity to be beautiful. Feel serene and peaceful about the woman you are and be proud of your strength, your gentleness, your caring and your passion. Love your capacity to love and take joy in your capacity to feel and give joy.

Know that you are a beautiful woman… and the whole world will see it, too.

Deepen Your Appreciation

“The ones you love don’t always know it.”

We have hundreds of ways to express our feelings, through words and gestures both large and small. All too often, however, we keep our feelings to ourselves assuming that those we care for know how much they mean to us. The truth is, they often don’t.

The next chance you get, tell that special someone how much joy they bring into your life. Let them know how special they are to you. Make sure you give a hug and get a hug.

This will deepen your appreciation for one another and brighten your relationship.

Having a Bad Day? This Will Change That!

“Nothing enriches your life like a friendship.”

You know what it’s like when you get together with a close friend whom you haven’t seen for a long time? It’s like you’ve never been apart; you just pick up where you left off.

Your connection with your friend goes back to all your shared experiences, values and feelings. Time does not diminish those in any way.  Your connection endures time and remains strong.

Think of a friend that is dear to you and that you haven’t connected with lately. Pick up the phone and give her a call. It will make your whole day – and brighten hers, too.

Today’s Affirmation: My friendships enrich my life.

Looking for Answers?

“Listen – and your intuition will lead you to great places.”

Everyone is blessed with the inner wisdom of intuition. But, too often, our logical mind takes the command post and we neglect to listen.

Next time you have a decision to make, sit quietly, without any distractions. Reflect on what your intuition is trying to tell you.

If you have a sense of doubt but you can’t quite put your finger on it, don’t question the “Why.” The answer will come. If something inside you says go for it, follow that hunch. Don’t think about all the reasons why you shouldn’t.

Trust your intuition! It won’t let you down.

In due time, the reasons “Why” will become crystal clear. In the meantime, your intuition will act as a golden compass pointing you toward your dreams.

Benefit From the Mistakes of Others

“You cannot live long enough to make all the mistakes. Learn from the mistakes of others.”

In every mistake, there is learning, but not every mistake has to be your own. Just as society uses history to learn from the mistakes of earlier generations, so can you. Save yourself some time and frustration and look to those around you and learn from their experiences.

For instance, instead of being defensive when an older person passes on advice listen and appreciate the learning they’ve gained over time. Tune into their mistakes more closely than their successes. Reflect on why things went wrong and tuck the learning away in your mind for your own future challenges.

By avoiding the mistakes made by others, you can create true success for yourself in a lot less time.

Why Goals are SO Hard to Achieve

“Goals that you believe in are the ones that really count.”

Does the effort you put into achieving your goals feel more like a burden, than a welcome challenge?  This is a sign that your goals are not your own.

You may be trying to live up to the ideals of your spouse, friends or parents. You may even be trying to live up to society’s version of success and perfection.

Goals set for you by others may not be realistic. And, the more you strive for goals that are far from your heart, the greater your dissatisfaction and frustration may become.

For you to feel happy inside and out, you must pursue what is important to you.

Never think that what you want is not good enough. It is! As you set and achieve goals that really matter, you will feel more successful, positive and optimistic.

Add Self-Confidence to Your List of Attributes

“Self-confidence is an attitude.”

Got a pear shape instead of an hourglass figure? Born with two left feet? Some things we can’t do much about, but some things we can. Self-confidence is among the latter, thank goodness!

Self-confidence isn’t about becoming something you’re not, but about recognizing what you already are. Every day, think about the things that make you special; celebrate your skills and your personality attributes; feel proud and walk with your head held high. Before you know it, you’ll be able to add self-confidence to your list of the things that make you YOU!

Capitalize on Life’s Challenges

“Challenges add riches to the journey of life.”

There’s not a single woman in the world that hasn’t had to struggle with something or overcome difficulties. At some point we all face challenges and even discouragement. You may be facing them at this very moment, whether they’re related to money, health, children, lovers, family or careers. It’s all part of life.

Recognize that obstacles are a wonderful part of life’s journey. They can enrich rather than paralyze you. When you see obstacles as milestones, they both measure your progress and increase your strength. Each challenge, successfully overcome, brings you closer your goals and potential.

Remember, with every challenge passed, you’re a little stronger, a little wiser and a whole lot more experienced.

Today’s Affirmation: With every challenge, I’m stronger, wiser, and closer to achieving my goals.
