Personal Growth Secret

“Personal growth is just a hug away.”

We have all heard that you need four hugs a day for survival, eight hugs a day for maintenance and twelve for growth.

The touch of a hug has a healing effect on your body. Your immune system stays strong and you feel loved and special. Hugs have a way of nurturing the little child within you and helping you feel cherished by family and friends.

If you’re not getting your twelve hugs a day, reach out and ask for the hugs you need. A simple, “Can I have a hug?” goes a long way toward getting those twelve hugs you need for growth.

Overcome the Fear of Rejection

“Never please to appease.”

Do you go to great lengths to please others or cover up your feelings, because you fear abandonment or rejection? If so, why?

The truth is, you run less risk of rejection if you offer others your true and unembellished self.

When you’re up front your real opinions, feelings and interests, you stand on solid ground. Being genuine offers others the real you, right from the get-go, and they can choose to take it or leave it. Just as you can choose to take or leave them!

When you know others are responding to the real you, you no longer have to worry about letting down your guard or being rejected later. This is a position of great strength.
Try living as the real you! When you do, others are naturally attracted to who you really are!

Free Yourself From Toxic People

“We only wish for others what we are willing to receive ourselves.”

Women that are happy with their lives are much more likely to support and encourage your happiness. Women who have goals of their own are more likely to support you in pursuit of your goals. Women who express their creativity are more inclined to help you discover your own talent.

Armed with this knowledge, you can choose to associate with those that have your best interest at heart.

Look carefully at the lives of the women in your circle of friends. Do you “hang out” with those who choose scarcity or abundance? Perhaps, it’s time to let go of friends who are unwilling to recognize happiness, to value goals or nurture talent; and time to welcome healthier friends into your inner circle.

But, before you view your friends with a critical eye, take a long look at yourself. Are you happy, goal oriented and in pursuit of your talents? If not, take steps to include these virtues in your life. You’ll be amazed at how old friends may change and how new friends may suddenly appear.

Face Conflict with Confidence

“Are you avoiding conflict?”

Do you avoid speaking your mind because you don’t want to rock the boat? Do you feel it’s just easier to avoid conflict?

When you don’t take initiative and express your own wants and needs, others make decisions for you – and chances are, they won’t always make the decisions you want! If this goes on long enough, you will start to feel misunderstood or taken for granted. Anger and resentment will grow and you’ll eventually erupt.

You are the only one who can decide to change this behavior!

Next time you’re asked what you want, don’t rush to say you don’t care. Stop and ask yourself, “What do I want?” Then, share it with conviction.

Secret Glue that Keeps Relationships Alive

“The secret glue that keeps relationships alive.”

No matter how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, when passion fades there must be something more long lasting to take its place.

Most of us fall in lust before we fall in love. It’s a wonderfully exciting time, when you need nothing more than passion to keep you glued together. Unfortunately, the reality is that lust alone doesn’t make for long-lasting bonds. Such shallow desire disintegrates far too fast and easily.

The secret glue that keeps relationships strong, forever, is made of more powerful stuff. It’s made of mutual respect, interests in common, of shared values, and genuine friendship. And, it takes time to discover and nurture these important parts of a strong relationship.

So, rein in those passions long enough to determine whether your desire is more than skin deep. Remember, the secret glue that makes relationships last forever keeps your passion – long after the lust has gone!
