Increase Your Inner Strength

“Strengthening your mind is like strengthening your body – it takes time.”

Outer strength takes persistence, time and a commitment to regular exercise. Inner strength requires exactly the same thing. It won’t happen overnight but once you start, you’ll notice you’re feeling a little stronger inside, day by day.

Exercise every aspect of your mind on a regular basis. Exercise your courage and sense of adventure by seizing new experiences. Exercise your patience and wisdom by taking time to think things through. Exercise your determination, persistence and commitment to self-improvement by deciding that no matter how long it takes, you’re going to become a stronger woman – starting today!

Put Power Behind Your Goals

“Formalize your commitment and you’ll see results.”

An excellent way to formalize your goals and commitments is by writing a contract to yourself. Spell out clearly and precisely as you can what your goals are. Include step-by-step details of how and when you are going to achieve them. Sign and date your contract. Next share it with someone you trust and post it where you will see it and be reminded by it. And, as with all contracts stick to the obligations.

Don’t forget to include in your contract how you are going to reward yourself for your accomplishments. You have made a deal with yourself. You have worked hard and when you’re done you deserve a reward.

When Your Dreams Don’t Live Up To Your Expectations

“Success is a meaningful lifestyle, not just a business.”

How many people do you know that have aggressively achieved their dreams yet they never feel complete?

What happened?

They have sacrificed their health, relationships and personal needs for success, without knowing what’s most important to them. There’s a lesson here for every one of us. Before you can be truly successful, your core values and beliefs must be aligned with your efforts.

In other words, your heart must lead your labors. Without this, true fulfillment will never come your way.

Fall in Love All Over Again

“Remember when you were first in love?”

Remember the small things you did to show your love to your boyfriend? Things like a phone call in the middle of the day just to talk or say “I love you,” a love note left in his car, a foot massage, simple gifts, and cooking romantic dinners. Remember those days?

As time passes you get weighted down with simply living life and forget all those things that made the difference in the beginning.

Rekindle and reconnect with your relationship by consciously going back and doing the things that you did when your love first began to grow. Who knows? You may fall in love all over again!

Today’s Affirmation: I’m rekindling my relationship by revisiting the things we used to do.

Enter this AMAZING World

“Breaking out of limiting beliefs is like opening a door to another world.”

Beliefs are a set of generalizations you make about yourself, others and your life. They form your version of reality, based on what you feel and perceive about your experiences.

Beliefs help you set rules by which to conduct your life. Guess what? Beliefs are not facts, even though we act on them as if they were facts.

If you believe you are not a good athlete, you’re probably a bad one. If you believe you are horrible at math, then you’re destined to fail your next test. Remember, beliefs either free us or limit us. When we break past limiting beliefs, we enter a whole new world.

So, believe you CAN do it. And … you probably will!

Today’s Affirmation: The beliefs I hold of myself are self-empowering.

Do You Underestimate Your Competence and Potential? Why?

“Never underestimate yourself.”

Many people put themselves down, by pointing out their inability’s, inadequacies and weaknesses. They underestimate their capabilities, competence and potential. Unfortunately, this is especially true for women.

Does this ring true with you? Take a closer look at yourself and tune into what you say and do. Vow to never, ever underestimate yourself or limit what you can achieve. You are a woman with huge amounts of talent and skill, screaming to be seen and heard!

Instead of thinking in terms of what you “can’t” do, think in terms of what you “can” do. This will let your talents shine!

Remember, you have the ability. You’re perfectly adequate. You possess limitless potential, because you’re you!

Greatest Friendship of All

“Your intuition is your friend for life.”

Intuition is the bridge between the known and the unknown. Yet because we cannot see it or measure it on any instrument, we often disregard that inner voice. “Don’t drive down that road,” “Call Jen now,” “Take that finance course,” it whispers, but often we disregard it as an aberration of the mind.

But that soft, pervasive voice is your inner self speaking. Learning to listen for it and act on it is one of the greatest gifts you can give yourself. That voice is the speed dial to your own truths. You instinctively know this, but your civilized, educated brain will often redirect the call and put it on hold, sometimes to your detriment.

Make a decision today to listen for that inner knowledge and make a pact with yourself to act on it. Trusting your intuition is the hardest step, but once you make friends with your own inner knowing, your own truth, there is no greater friendship.

Today’s Affirmation: I trust my intuition.
