What’s Holding You Back from Reaching Your Goals?

“A vote of confidence.”

Are you someone who quietly sets out to reach her goals or are you someone who tells the world exactly what you’re up to, loud and clear?

Either way, it’s great. You’re focusing on a new life ahead. But if you tend toward being the quieter type, why not take some time today to tell at least one person how proud you are of yourself for making this commitment to reach a valued goal?

There’s got to be one person with whom you could share your journey. A coworker? A neighbor? A friend?

So, speak up! Tell someone about it. Make your effort even more real by hearing yourself talk about it out loud. It will solidify your commitment that much more, and could just be the vote of confidence you need!

Achieve Success in Spite of Naysayers

“Satisfaction is sweet when you succeed in spite of discouraging words.”

Do you have someone in your life that’s knocking down your dreams? Someone who’s trying to make you quit? If so, do the opposite of what they are saying. Let their discouraging words motivate you to succeed.

Yes, it’s hard at first, especially if you’ve been listening to and giving in to those who say you can’t do it. Decide, right now, not to listen anymore. Try your hardest to block out the discouragement and forge ahead.

Just imagine how good you will feel when you accomplish what you want to do. There is no sweeter success than reaching a goal when others told you, “No!”

Lasting Relationships – What You MUST Have

“Resilience is the key to survival.”

If you and your partner have a history of power struggles, nasty arguments and broken trust, you have little to draw on when times are hard. On the other hand, if you and your partner have a history of trust, partnership, respect, friendship and kindness, you have built up enough resilience and strength to endure the bad times. Vital relationships fill our days with humor, caring and good conversation.

Now is a great time to look at your relationships. Do you have a cushion of resilience to fall back on? If not, it’s never too late to start building one.
