You Need this For Effortless Giving

“Is it better to give than receive?”

We have heard this cliché a million times. As a woman, you probably spend most of your day loving and nurturing those around you. Day in and day out you’re probably giving all you have and taking good care of those that rely on you.

The trouble begins when you don’t receive love and nurturing in return from the ones who receive your care. As time passes, it’s only natural for you to feel resentful.

Does this mean you should stop giving because you are not receiving? Of course not! Instead, you need to make it known that you need the same love and compassion that you give to others, everyday.

You too, need to be taken care of. Why? It’s only when you receive this love that all your giving becomes effortless.

“What you think and say determines your personal power.”

Do you frequently hear yourself saying things like, “I can’t do that,” “It’s beyond me,” or, “I am not the person for this task?”

If you express negativity often enough, your mind will believe it as truth.  It becomes a self -fulfilling prophecy and the longer it goes on the more you will be driven by false beliefs. You’ll be left feeling powerless and out of control.

Stop this vicious cycle!

Take notice of your inner chatter and vow to transform the “can’ts” into “cans.” Your internal voice must support you and give you reason to believe in yourself. It must foster respect and drive your potential. You are a capable woman, capable of endless possibilities.

Easy Way to Let Go of all the Stress

“Allow yourself guilt-free time.”

So many times we live our lives doing what others want us to do or what we think is expected of us. This may be practical at work, where you need to fulfill your job duties, but your personal life is different.

If you’re always doing what others want, you end up neglecting your own interests, needs and desires. Over time, your spirit withers and you feel caught in an undertow of survival.

You’re important and so is the time you need for yourself! Pull out your calendar and mark some time off, just for you. Do it, even if it’s only 30-minutes every few days. Consider this time an investment in your emotional health and wellness.  Enjoy it without guilt, no ifs, ands or buts. This is time to give back to yourself!

Each one of us can make a difference by passing on what we know.

You have something worthwhile to share, regardless of where you are in your life. You’ve built a history and you’ve learned lessons along the way.

It may be as simple as chatting with other women in the same situation and exchanging ideas. It may be giving talks and volunteering in professional organizations.

Never believe that you don’t have something to give. You do! Serve as a role model inspiring and encouraging other women.

Pass on your confidence, moral support and hope to others. Immense satisfaction is what you’ll get back.

Stop Letting the Unexpected Control You

You wake up in the morning feeling great about your day. Then, you get in your car and it won’t start, or you spill coffee on your new skirt just before a meeting, or the babysitter calls to say she’ll be late.

And, that’s just the tip of the iceberg. One after another, unexpected things happen until you want to scream!

Wait a minute; force yourself to relax and recognize the unexpected for what it is – one of life’s surprises. Take a deep breath and rationally consider your options. Choose the most appropriate way to deal with the situation, then move on.

When you slow down and take this calm approach, you’re empowering yourself with control. And, soon, your attitude will brighten back to the eagerness and energy with which you originally greeted the dawn.

If there was something you wished had happened differently, replay it in your mind the way you wanted it to go. As you fall asleep, say, “I will sleep deeply and wake up full of energy. Tomorrow is going to be the most AMAZING day of my life!”
